Under the guidance of the Executive Director, membership Services activities are conducted by the Snr. Coordinator Membership Services and Manager Programme Area 1.
All activities related to coordination, facilitation and networking are categorised as membership services. Membership of CHA consists of 89-local/ international organizations at present.
| CHA offers the following types of membership : |
Associate Membership:
This membership will be conferred upon applicants for a period of one (01) year ; |
Full Membership:
status as full members of the Consortium shall be conferred upon organisations that have completed the stipulated requirements for Associate Membership on the recommendation of the Board of directors; |
Observer:
status is extended to representatives of the Government and non- governmental agencies, engaged in humanitarian and development work, different UN agencies, other intergovernmental agencies and donor governments . |
Temporary Membership:
is extended to individuals, organisations, academics or researchers involved in humanitarian or development work and are temporarily based in Sri Lanka. It is granted for a period of up to six months and may be renewed after obtaining approval from the Steering Committee approval . |

The term ‘Member' applies to all membership categories. Membership of the consortium does not preclude membership of other consortia, fora or networks with different activity.

Conduct NGO day for membership
Schedule bi- monthly General Assembly for members.
Up date organizational profile
Conduct regular visits to membership
Publish quarterly newsletters in Sinhala and Tamil.
Collect stakeholder feedback from the membership on the services and activities carried out by the membership
Promote Code of Practice for membership
Sign up agreements for continuation of membership services.
Collect agencies details; Annual Reports/ Audited Accounts
