Awareness Material

CHA district offices are equipped with detailed topographical district maps of the area. As well leaflets, pamphlets and posters relating to habitat types found within the districts, organic farming and composting and other relevant issues are available. An illustrative poster dealing with the six main natural hazards affecting Sri Lanka and their effects is now available. Most of this information is accessible in all three languages

RukRaks south coast programme

Implemented via a local tree planting organization -RukRakagano- this programme was spread throughout the south coast concentrating on school awareness and planting within the schools compounds and coastal peripheral areas. A total of 1845 children were reached within 75 schools for the awareness programme with over 1500 plants being distributed and planted
