Who We are
Who
We were established in April 1997 to serve a membership and have since become a national service provider in the non-profit sector. We are representative of the resources and work of the humanitarian sector in Sri Lanka. Our membership supports and intervenes in the sector across all parts of the country.
The Organization is served by a Staff of 153 including professionals with managerial and representational authority, headed by an Executive Director.
Our field offices are located in 12 districts in the North, South
and East.
In addition our post-tsunami
information management centres are located in all tsunami
affected districts.

• Identity of a national service provider;
• Advocate for peace, human rights and development with specific focus on diversity, fundamental rights and freedom;
• Knowledge and skills particularly in areas of information gathering, processing and dissemination.
• Quality and accountability of work in management, implementation and provision of services.
• Links with national and international organizations and resources;
• Proactive co-ordination, facilitation, and assistance in post-Tsunami interventions.

The CHA is committed to a dynamic process of continual improvement as a quality certified institution, driven by a quest to maintain ethical, moral, transparent, accountable standards in the provision of our interventions, products and services as a leader located in Sri Lanka in the non-profit sector to secure dignity of life for all.
